GloBe Solar: Global load classification system for solar technical materials

Through the natural, contemporary outdoor use under high stress through UV radiation, corrosion, moisture, etc., and the required very long product lifetimes solar systems are faced with enormous challenges. Therefore, as part of the pilot project "GloBe Solar", a global classification system of site-specific exposure-load for solar systems is developed. It will provide comprehensive information on the spatial distribution of climate- and environment-related risks. This type of Resilience Engineering makes it possible to ensure the sustainable use of materials in solar technology.
