The Sustainability Center Sustainability Freiburg (LZN) is a unique cooperation in Germany between the 5 Freiburg Fraunhofer Institutes (EMI, IAF, IPM, ISE and IWM) and the University of Freiburg (UFR) in the field of sustainability research in the engineering sciences. Through the combination of 5 application-oriented Fraunhofer Institutes with over 2500 employees and a full university with 240 degree programmes, 440 full chairs and currently 2 clusters of excellence, the Sustainability Centre has created an innovation landscape that bundles scientific expertise and provides a space for innovation for the economy and society. The Sustainability Center Freiburg aims at translating the results of scientific sustainability research conducted by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (represented by the five Freiburg Fraunhofer Institutes) and the University of Freiburg into real innovations. To this end, we would like to work closely with companies, associations and other stakeholders from Freiburg, the region and beyond. We therefore offer various opportunities for co-operation.
