Series Kickoff: What Did Our Pilot Projects Actually Accomplish?

The twelve pilot projects of the Sustainability Center Freiburg are slowly but surely coming to the end of their research periods. High time to hear about what the researchers have accomplished in the last three years!

Throughout the coming weeks, the most innovative and interesting insights and results of the various pilot projects will be presented on our site.

Our debut presentation will be on the MulDiscan project, in which researchers of the Sustainability Center developed a lightweight and flexibly applicable laser-scan-system. Attached to a drone, this laser-scan-system can support researchers in the data collection and surveillance of various areas and terrains including large forest areas. The effects of ever-increasing extreme weather conditions upon these areas can thereby be more effectively assessed.
