The Innovation Bar 2026 brought together the people who shape and drive Freiburg’s innovation landscape. In collaboration with the University of Freiburg, the GRÜNDUNGSBÜRO Uni Freiburg, Grünhof, BadenCampus, smart green, the arise Accelerator, Fraunhofer AHEAD, and the University Medical Center Freiburg, the event created a space where research, entrepreneurship, and community could meet and inspire each other.
At the heart of the evening were inspiring founder stories, honest insights into development processes, and conversations about how scientific knowledge can be transformed into solutions with real societal impact. Contributions from the speakers — Dr. Emilia Neuwirt (EMUNO Therapeutics GmbH), Svenja Dannewitz Prosseda (Senara GmbH), Florian Bierwirth (EDENenergy), and Georg K.J. Fischer (ScrySky) — highlighted the many different ways innovation journeys can unfold.
Three key messages shaped this year’s edition:
