The natural, contemporary outdoor use, with high stresses through UV radiation, corrosion, moisture, etc., and the required very long product lifetimes face solar systems with enormous challenges. Therefore, as part of the pilot project "GloBe Solar", a global classification system of loads to which solar systems are exposed to site-specifically is developed. It provides comprehensive information on the spatial distribution of climate- and environment-related risks. This type of Resilience Engineering makes it possible to ensure the sustainable use of materials in solar technology.
